The MBDA Export Center Chicago – Africa Project is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and is operated by the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. (ChicagoMSDC) in partnership with Export-Import
MBDA is an entrepreneurially focused and innovative organization committed to wealth creation in minority communities and is the only federal agency solely dedicated to fostering the growth and global competitiveness of U.S. minority business enterprises. MBDA programs are focused on economic empowerment and leading minority business enterprises through business transformation. For 50 years, MBDA has helped minority-owned firms get access to capital, contracts, build scale and capacity, and expand into new markets.
The MBDA Export Center Chicago – Africa Project seeks to help firms obtain the resources they need to become export ready and will focus primarily on exporting opportunities in Africa. It also seeks to develop alliances with local, state, and federal government agencies, major corporations, banks, financial resources and the minority business community to create larger, more strategic minority entrepreneurs.
